Finding a home in a Parish.

We've been struggling. Not only with our little ones and being able to attend Mass without incident....but also with finding a place where we truly find God speaking to us.

We recently found that place once again.

It's been very hard because we go to Mass and hope to have God speak to us, to our hearts, through the priest in the homilies. It seemed it was touch and go there for a while. We heard more about the finances than we did about Jesus. It was discouraging to say the least. Our spirits and hearts were not being fed. I wanted to hear about Jesus, but rather I was hearing any particular priests views on whatever might be going on in the political world. Those are important, but I needed to hear what Jesus had to say to us too.

It sounds terrible, but I did a lot of shopping around churches. A few were beautiful, but lacking in what we needed. And so we finally came to St. Margaret's. The last couple of weeks attending Mass there has been overwhelming to say the least. Not only is it beautiful in it's architecture, but the Mass is beautiful. The homilies are beautiful. The teaching is beautiful. And attending Latin Mass in the evening in the middle of the week....brought me to tears. Here was what I was looking for. Jesus. It was all about Jesus. And I love it.

Isn't that what we are supposed to find when we go to Church?
