Laugh it up.

My husband likes to laugh at me. I think that's why he reads my blog. (Yeah, I'm talking about you!) He'll sit there and chuckle while he's on the phone with me, and when I ask what's so funny he says "You! I'm reading your blog..." At least I'm good for something! :) If I didn't make fun of what's going on here, what fun would life be.

Speaking of the hubby...I finally downloaded this picture from my email. Sorry to all the Army and Navy and Air Force wives out there, but I still say Marine's are the hottest. Of course I'm biased!
But for crying out loud...Who wouldn't think these guys are hot?
Ok, enough oggling.

Here's a picture of my awesome bread that I baked the other day. Everyone attacked it as soon as it came out of the oven. Nothing is sacred. It was good while it lasted....

This is a day of randomness so don't expect any long drawn out speeches from me today. I'm just so lazy I can't think straight. Hence a mishmash of everything in here today.

A while back I thought I needed some work on my teeth. I haven't been to a dentist for like 5 or 6 years, so it's time I go, I think. I'm just so nervous that I'll get horrible news. Especially now that I have a swollen gum that is just nasty and has a horrible smell coming from it. I'm one of those desperate types who has vain hopes that gargling and ignoring it will make it ok. I'm probably really wrong. *sob* I hate the dentist. *sob*

Lately, I've been spending a lot of time trying to figure out what my artistic medium is. I can draw. I can paint. I can cook. I can sew. I can do any number of artsy things, the problem is that I just can't make up my mind about where I "belong". It's so frustrating. Last night I found this Quilting Art magazine at Barnes and Noble that just jumped out at me from the shelf. I've always thought people who do quilting are kind of anal. I mean who the hell wants to sit there and peice together 2 inch squares all day! But this magazine was about the coolest thing I've seen in quite a while. It was completely not what I was expecting from what my idea of quilting has been. It's more about free-from quilting. Now I can get into this! I guess I figured there was some unspoken law that said I couldn't do anything different with fabric. Silly me!

For now I'm exploring....

Good luck with the quilting. My sister loves it! Get your mouth fixed! It won't get better on it's own. Marine dress uniforms ROCK!
