Nativity of the Blessed Virgin.

Happy Birthday Mother Mary.

We're making a cake to celebrate.

It's thanks to Mary's "yes" that we enjoy the promise of eternal life through Jesus.
She's a great example for us. Think of all the great things she did.

She pointed people to Jesus when they ran out of wine. And He provided. Think of all the things He would provide if we simply went to Him the way she told those people at the wedding to. Along those same lines...Maybe we could imitate her and when someone needs something maybe we could tell them as boldly as she did to go to God and ask for what they need because He will take care of what needs to be done.

She gave us a good way to pray..."My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for He has done great things for me and Holy is His Name." Perhaps we should share with others more often what He has done for us, the way Mary did.

When she thought she lost Jesus she went looking for Him. Well, when we think we are alone, or feel lost with out Jesus we can go looking for him. But He already knows that we will go looking for Him, so He is there waiting. (Maybe it's a ploy? To get us to go after Him? He wants us to after all. :)

She showed us some good ways to be good women. She is only mentioned a few times in the bible, but those small tidbits can speak volumes if you take time to sit and read them.

Anyway! Have a good day.
