Only a few more months until this deployment is over. It hasn't really been that bad. I've had my mom and brothers here. Mom and the younger brother left to go back up north last night. It's quiet around here now, except for the kids arguing. I've kept busy with all my little projects and job searches, and children changing moods every two seconds. I've planted vegetables and flowers. I've seen about 8 neighbors move, and 8 new ones come in. I've yelled at the new neighbor kids for pulling up flowers, and breaking my roses, and picking my corn.

Let's see....Oh! This last Sunday we went to Mass at Prince of Peace Abby here in Oceanside. That was nice. Two of the priests from the parish we regularly have attended went to Iraq in the same rotation as Kevin, and then one more just left a few weeks ago. So there is one priest. Nice as he is, we weren't feeling at home there too much anymore. So we tried out the Abby and I love it. It's nothing fancy, but it's nice and the homily was great. No wishy washy lovey dovey stuff. Good teaching. I like to be taught at Mass. I'm finding the older I get the more questions I have. Life is interesting that way.

G'night everyone.
