The power of EFT

Emotional Freedom Tapping? What a joke, I thought to myself. Until I gave in and tried it.

What is it, you ask? Well, it's tapping on some key pressure points to relieve emotional symptoms. You can use it to help you fall asleep at night, to free you from depressing emotions, to relieve yourself of negative thoughts. It all sounded very new-agey to me.

There's nothing wrong with tapping on your forehead though, and I was feeling pretty strongly about getting rid of some of my emotional garbage. My children are driving me bonkers. Anneliese is now asking me "why?" every time I tell her to do or not to do something. (!!!!BECAUSE I SAID SO! Whew!) Anthony is just testing every boundary that there is known to mankind, as well as going ahead and doing everything that he is told no about. "Don't run into the street!", and then witness running right into the street when there are cars coming both directions and then trying not to kill your child when tires squeal and people start screaming. The incessant flies that invade our home. And the children screaming at me to kill them, "there's another one! Kill it! Kill it!" And then vacuuming up the 40 flies I've just killed in the last 5 minutes. I'm exhausted. My nausea is coming. I can't move to fast, or else I have to contract every muscle to avoid vomiting. Which brings me to the fact that since I'll be spending the next 4-5 months inspecting the toilets up close...they need to be clean! That was a challenge not getting sick just cleaning them. Little boys tend to have bad aim you see. But at least they want to help when you are trying to clean them. (Except for the whole issue where a 4 year old and bleach are involved. ) And then Anneliese wanting to nurse 24/7 still, which is now very very painful, and annoying because I can't stand being touched. It makes me sick. And then I get cranky. This is so horrible. My poor children.

So anyway. I tried the EFT to try to give my kids a break and it worked! At least to make me lighten up for a while. Until I did it again, and then all was well again. Try it!

Glenn being the Toaist that he is, is all about the pressure points. They do work, I don't know why. I hope you feel better soon.

I am in the exact same boat with my to. Now my older one has taken to telling me to calm down, mamma! because when he gets mad I tell him to calm down. I hate when my own words get used on me!
