Bubble Tea and Books! Oh Joy!

Anthony and I made a trip to the Library downtown today. We love books. We have lots of books. And if ever there is something fun to do it is to look for more books. And so we checked out a nice size pile to look at and read. There are only two things I don't like about this library. You only have the books for three weeks, and it's 75 cents to rent movies. We're used to a whole month and free movies. Oh well! They have a good selection. And I was pleased to find a whole section with Japanese craft books.

While shopping for a parking place we circled around the downtown vicinity and imagine my giddiness at finding a Bubble Tea shop. Yeah, I was giddy. I love Bubble Tea. Anthony and I shared a raspberry slush and enjoyed the view from the straw. They actually put this plastic sheet/lid on while we watched, with this special machine that had all kinds of fancy Japanese characters and pictures all over it. It was pretty cool. We'll be going back for sure.

Speaking of book outings... The other day I picked up this quilting book off the discount table at B&N. I LOVE it. The quilts are really beautiful. And the instructions are pretty clear, with lots of graphics.

A few of my favorites out of the book....

We'll close this entry with a picture of something that my husband brought home from Australia. Can you guess what these are?
I'll give you a hint....If the daddy kangaroos knew what people were doing with them I'm sure they would have a few choice words.
