Are you a good parent?

You know how some people base good parental care on how your children behave? It's an interesting thing isn't it because it kind of makes you responsible for your childrens decisions. I'm wondering if the responsibility rotates to the kid when they hit the teenage years, or if it's before then. So rather than people asking if you have good kids, they should ask if you are a good parent?

Another one of those things I don't think makes sense.

We all have free will....right?

I know several mothers that think they are a good parent because enough people have told them so. They ask constantly. It drives me crazy. It's a good question, though.
