Work.

Along side setting up house, I've been keeping myself busy sewing things to (hopefully) sell on ebay or just off a blog page. Or both.

I come up with all these great ideas about what I can make. The tricky part is making them happen. Either I don't have the time, or I don't have the money. Who hasn't felt that before! And then there is the trying to make something from nothing....which I'm pretty good at, but which frustrates me.

Anyway....
This lil bib was of my own design. As in I drew the pattern for it. Pretty cool huh? It need something more on it though. Like a pocket or something. What do you think?

Now this...this is an idea of the stuff I've been working on.

There is a burpy cloth, a quilt, and the teddy bear. I'm still struggling over price. Most of the gift baskets on Ebay are not handmade...or at least the products inside them are not handmade. You know, shampoo's and lotions and toys, etc. And they go for between $14 and $30. I just can't see charging that for all handmade products. It just seems stupid to me. Let alone the fact that that would not cover the cost of materials and labor. Kevin and I figured about $50 or $60. We're still working on it.

This little guy here below is for a friend of Kevin's who is having a baby. Hope she likes it.

I've been thinking that I might just make up a bunch of bears and see if I can sell them. That would just rock.

By the way....does anyone know if it is against any copyright laws to make something from a copyrighted pattern to sell? I was just wondering because I have some cute patterns but I don't want to get in trouble for selling things made from them. I suppose I could alter them a little and then copyright that pattern and use it as I please huh?

Those are too cute! Most patterns tell you if they are for personal use only. Other than that, I haven't a clue. Good luck, though. We're trying to do something similar, ourselves.

Thanks! They're a lot of work...but the end result is really good:)

I'll have to actually take out the instructions on my patterns and read them. It probably does say in there!

oh my goshness! SOOOO CUTE! The bib would be adorable with a red applique or something. "Feed ME!" or baby's initials??
