Ok, so maybe I'm a total girly-girl....but I totally did not get the movie the Godfather. I think I have to watch it again. Perhaps it's because I was watching it at 2 in the morning. That could be it!
I was also thinking about Kevin's arrival home, and moving, and some bills that I forgot to pay last month, and Anneliese's tumble on the floor yesterday. (She chipped two teeth. And bit her tongue. And her molars are coming in which probably made it worse than it would have been.) And the fact that Kevin saw Anthony's picture and said he really needs a haircut...but then Kevin's hair is about 1/100 of an inch long so I'm not really too concerned! I was also reading a book while watching the movie...So in actuality I only saw maybe like a third of the movie altogether anyway.

Today is Good Friday. I could not understand why they called it "Good" Friday so I went and did some reading in the Catholic Encyclopedia. The German, Greek, and Latin translations make it translate to English more as Great Friday, Holy Friday or Sorrowful Friday. Those make more sense to me considering this is the day that Christ died. It's a solumn celebration, not a joyful celebration.
Anyway! Today there is usually a Mass of the Presanctified ,(the Communion is sanctified the day before on Holy Thursday, only day of the year when the Consecration does not take place) wherein the people venerate the Cross. For non-Catholics, this does not mean worship, or pray to. Venerate means to show respect, or as dictionary.com dictates " To regard with respect, reverence, or heartfelt deference". It is not a Holy Day of Obligation, however it is a day of fasting and abstinence. For more on Good Friday please read this.

Happy Day everyone. I hope you have a blessed weekend.
