The hubby is always making fun of me for reading romance novels. He calls them smut.
Yeah, ok. Maybe they are.
Anyways...I decided to pick a book a month that is not "smut", perhaps a bestseller, based on actual events or a fiction with lots of recommendations. Something to educate myself. I say educate myself as much as I can, even if it's being well versed in classic fiction. Then at least I'd have something interesting to talk about. With myself.
Five things I am grateful for today...
1) My multi-tool. It's great! So many uses, so handy, so compact.
2) Car manuals. They make sense when you read them. And perhaps if there weren't so many different versions of the same car, it would make things easier when you have to change, for example, a blinker bulb. It was absolutely no help whatsoever. But I did learn a lot. I had taken apart almost the whole front of the car by the time I figured out how exactly to get to the blinker light I was trying to change. My husbands suggestion for changing it..."Well since your pregnant I say make someone else do it." Thanks honey. Anyway, car manuals are useless, but interesting.
3) My blog. I don't have a whole lot to say...maybe because I'm around children all day who are most interested in what they can take apart, blow apart, break apart, or fight with. (Yay boys!) But at least my blog gives me an "out" when I just need to blabber about nothing of any consequence.
4) Discount stores. My regular $4 shampoo for $1.99. That rocks.
5) My bed. Even though I'll probably lay awake for hours as usual with the baby kicking and moving around...It's nice to be able to stretch out and relax with no noise or interruptions.
